SAF NEW FILMS

In the past school year children in SAF studio realized four new films, and around twenty short animated exercises, done by youngest SAF members. All films were shown for the first time at traditional annual presentation, organized as a part of program at International film workshop (June 2011).

Realized films are as follows:
BLACK SHEEP, funny animation about two neighbors who's harmony lives was disrupted because of one black sheep...
CHRISTMAS STORY, created by two young girls, is nice and warm cut-out animation about two poor sisters,
FAST LIKE A THUNDER, drawn animation about two unstoppable cowboys, made by 9 years old boy,

MARVELLOUS ADVENTURS OF ROBY ROBOT, cut-out animation about robot Roby who decides to do some serious changes in his life.

BLACK SHEEP AWARDED IN MARIBOR

At TOTI International festival of non commercial films, which was held on November 26th in Maribor (Slovenia), BLACK SHEEP won third prize in category of films made by children and youth. Film FAST LIKE A THUNDER received a diploma.


FIRST PRIZE FOR SUBMARINE IN AUSTRALIA

SAF film SUBMARINE won the first prize at 14th Edition of Auburn International Film Festival for Children And Young Adults, in the category of films made by children in ages from 6 - 14 years.
Besides SUBMARINE in the program were also shown films GRANNY FLY SWATTER and WIZARD'S FOREST

TWO PRIZES FOR GRANNY FLY SWATTER IN BUDAPEST

At 3rd Kid's Eye Film Festival, which was held in Budapest from March 18th to 20th, ŠAF film GRANNY FLY SWATTER received two prizes in category "Big things in small packages" (ages 6 to 12 years). The film was awarded both from adult and children jury.
Five more ŠAF films were selected and shown in the festival screenings.


SUBMARINE AWARDED AT VAFI FESTIVAL

From April 29th to May 1st, the second International Children and Youth Animation Film Festival (VAFI) was organized in Varazdin (Croatia).
SAF participated at the Festival with two films from last school year production and the film SUBMARINE won a second prize in the category of children in age from 11 to 14 years.

For 2nd VAFI there were submitted 145 films from 20 countries, among which 87 were selected for six festival screenings.

On Sunday afternoon, after the Festival was closed, a group of children and their teachers from Israel visited Cakovec and SAF studio.
